Loss and a Visit to Utah

Will's Grandpa Wade passed away 2 weekends ago and we were able to attend the funeral last week. Neither of us really has a memory of losing a close loved one so this was a new range of emotions for us. Although our heart aches for Grandma who is now a widow, we know that Grandpa is at peace and free from all of his earthly body's aches and pains. This brings us and our family so much comfort.

We were happy to spend a couple of days packed with family time while we were up there. We took the three grand kids to the pumpkin patch and they had a blast running through the corn maze and riding the cart through the patch. Sadie and her cousin Charlie are less than a month apart and it was so funny to watch them walking around together and talking jibberish to each other.

On Sunday afternoon, we went for a long drive through the mountains and got to see the beautiful fall leaves. I miss that view... We pulled over to take a family picture and of course snapped a goofy one too.

And in case you were wondering what a red-eye flight with a 1 year old looks like? Here's that too...
