our Easter

this Easter we decided to focus more on the real meaning behind it.

our Easter basket consisted of a book on the Atonement, 

a great church movie, scripture markers, and a picture of the Savior.

we don't feel like we are missing out at all by not filling it with candy.

(this isn't to say those that did are doing anything wrong.)

it has been a big spiritual boost for us to spend more time thinking about Christ this Easter.

i have felt the Savior's love so strong this weekend.

i had a deep conversation with a good friend of mine a few days ago,

and it really made me feel grateful and put things into perspective for me

talking to her gave me a whole new perspective of trials.

i am forever grateful to the Savior for his great sacrifice for me.

because of it, i can make it through trials and look forward to the future.

i will get to be with my family again after this life because of Him.

i hope you can all feel His peace and love this Easter sunday.

a new sense of freedom

this baby came in the mail today!

i wasn't expecting it for another few weeks,

so i was thrilled to see it here already!

this is the first passport i've ever had.

yep you heard me right. never left the country before.

i'm ready (and now able) to explore the world!

our first adventure is already planned and booked.

we're going to the Bahamas in May!

we're beyond excited to live the island life for a week.

brace yourself for some fun stories and pictures after.

and feel free to share any advice for traveling abroad.

i'd sure appreciate it. :)

730 days of marriage... tomorrow.

last night will went out with the guys while i worked on homework.

little did he know, he'd come home to this...

 we had ourselves a killer dance party, 

laughed at how scared our dogs are of balloons,

and then did some other fun stuff that i won't be blogging about... ;)

happy 2 year anniversary to my sweet, HOT husband and me!

hi friends! sorry i've been MIA for the past week.

my birthday was on monday and between celebrating and class,

i haven't had much extra time to sit down and blog!

but here's a transitioning into spring look.

boots because it's still cold, and a fun color added to the mix.

i got the earrings from my in-laws for my birthday and love them!

i was extra thrilled when i realized i had these pants that matched perfectly.

welp, the dogs are whining at the door so i'm off for a walk!
