pleasantly surprised

this past weekend i got to rent a REALLY nice lens for free,

(the store was 3 weeks late getting a lens in that we ordered, so this was sorta their apology)

i had so much fun playing with it and
took some family and friends' pictures with it.

we also took a few updated ones for ourselves while we were at it!

helloooooo handsome.

 will came straight from golfing with a buddy 

and surprised me with these beautiful roses!

i had to return the lens yesterday morning, 

but that sly, super sweet husband of mine ended up switching 

the original lens we had ordered to the greater quality lens i had rented! 

i was SO pleasantly surprised. :)

he is my #1 fan and biggest supporter of my passion.

i love that man more and more every day.

Bahamas

 

we had so much fun this past week in the Bahamas!

it was the perfect vacation for both of us.

full of beautiful beaches and super nice, friendly locals.

i'm sure you'd rather see it than read about it though...

if you've never been, you really should plan a trip.

you will have a blast for sure!

a longboard + a camera

yesterday i tested out our GoPro so i can know how to use it for our trip.

i've gotta work on my multitasking with it, but it's a fun one to use!

it's all waterproof so perfect for our vacation and the rest of summer.

be prepared for some great footage of our trip when we get back!

nut case

i have seriously been losing my mind lately.

i think i can manage my stress pretty well usually,

but this week has really shown me just how much it's affected me.

the other day, i was so frustrated with my math practice test that i cried.

yes, i cried over a math problem. 

 i just couldn't rack my brain of how to work it out.

it was not one of my finer moments.

then today on our way out to church, i was already out the door

and will says "uh kari?..." he gave a weird look at my feet

and i realized i was still wearing my house slippers...

seriously? i've been such a nut case this week!

at least i can laugh at myself and look forward to our vacation.

i hope you all handle the stress of finals better than me!

a birthday and the rest of our week.

will's birthday was on wednesday, the big 24!

because i had class and he was supposed to too (got cancelled),

we celebrated more in the morning.

i made him my specialty, crepes (breakfast in bed style)

and we relaxed together all morning since that's what sounded nice!

we had a party for him the weekend before with friends and family.

thank you to all who came and wished him a happy bday. :)

after another week of final projects and papers, 

we greeted the weekend with open arms!

yesterday will's first and favorite companion got married,

so we drove up to Layton for their reception 

then grabbed dinner at Garcia's after.

we love us some mexican!

today was an errand day. 

first we split up to go to our banks, then we met up at the carwash.

both cars have been suffering a good clean due to our busy schedules.

after that, we grabbed lunch then came home to do some yard work.

between then and now there's been a dog walk, folding laundry, 

a shaving cream fight (let me tell you, that stuff doesn't taste good ha),

 picking up the bedroom, and making the bed. 

i'd say it's been a very successful day.
